Fiault wins again in the final

Charles Fiault (Sodi / Maxter) ran the first lap at the front of the KZ2 final, while Christophe Benoit (Birel / TM) and Pierre Ragues (Sodi / Maxter) engaged in a duel for 2nd place. Nolan Mantione (Birel / TM) then threatened Benoit, now third. Ragues, the fastest, quickly closed up behind the leader who refuses to be intimidated, however. In the meantime, Mantione passed Benoit who would have to face the return of Maxim Roy (Tony Kart / TM).

Roy put pressure on Benoit and passed in mid-race after several attacks. Benoit went on the wet grass when Eric Goron (Intrepid / TM) went up the inside the right after the start. Fiault seemed able to handle the threat from Ragues, setting the fastest time with five laps remaining. Victory went to Fiault with Ragues very close on the last lap, for a Sodi double, Mantione was third from Roy and Goron.
