Iannaccone was wild and his hand slipped on the line … Amweg rushed past him perfectly and finished the first lap of the U18 B final a good second ahead of Carvalho. But Marchetti moved to second place on the following lap, followed by Dzialtuvas. Marchesan advanced to fifth, Iannaccone was sixth, before dropping to 14th. Vinolo Zalduegui captured fourth position in front of Marchesan and Dlougy. If Amweg was quiet at the front, Marchetti was gradually catching up with Dzialtuvas. But the Lithuanian was pushing and shoving and fell to sixth, leaving Marchesan nothing to do to take third from Vinolo and Schramm. Marchesan went wide onto the rumble strips by the start line, he retained his place, but Vinolo moved closer. Amweg won the race by over 4, 5” ahead of Marchetti, Marchesan third, Vinolo fourth and Schramm fifth.
