Finally arrived at La Conca …

Luck or no luck, the KSP – Kartcom team’s travel to La Conca has finally come to an end and certainly not from the help from the online travel agency Opodo. There was a transport strike at Milan, so the first flight from Paris to Malpensa was canceled the day before departure. Alitalia reacted immediately with Opodo and we reserved two tickets to Bologna and Bari. We arrived at Roissy on Friday morning at dawn, finding the terminal 2G was already not easy, but when the hostess tells you that your e-ticket has not been validated by Opodo, tension mounts a notch …

A few long minutes later, after you have listened to the entire playlist of music on hold with  Opodo, waiting in vain for an advisor to advise you, you end up hanging up after 30 overtaxed minutes, you are now getting close to the limit …

The suspense finally ends when you find the right person at the terminal, although of course not from Opodo, who leaves no stone unturned to unravel your problem and get you out anyway. This good Samaritan succeeded in his mission, but just 5 minutes too late, oh, sorry, your flight is closed …  

12 cafes and 7 cigarettes later, or maybe the reverse, you do not really look like a traveler happy at the thought of flying. Flying is also your primary concern, especially since you want to avoid an angry confrontation with the bank. Finding one-way tickets to Brindisi or Bari for over € 1000 per person is not a problem, all of the airlines are waiting for you at that price. Opodo answered in the meantime, going from “it’s not our fault” to “we’ll find you an alternative flight” after you’ve put across your point of view with a certain firmness. Proposed solution: leaving tomorrow morning, arriving tomorrow night. Opodo thank you, we will dispense with your services now.

Finally, the KSP travel department found us flights to Bari, via Bologna and Rome, oh joy, and a return since the Opodo reservations are no longer valid either: To return, you must have left, said with malice, and as you did not use your tickets, the returns are canceled! In short, after a total of 12 hours waiting in various airports and about 3.5 hours of flight, then landing 2 hours away, it’s 1:30 am, a warm room waiting for us, so we collapsed on the bed, lulled by neighbors taking showers or banging hammers, but regardless, we are here!
