After a closely observed start which took place smoothly, the first qualifying heat of the day in KF1 was headed by the battle between Daiki Sasaki (Kosmic / Vortex) and Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex). By the time the Italian had passed Karol Basz (Birel / BMB) on the second left, the Japanese driver had already got a small lead which Camponeschi tried to close for several laps. When he finally approached, he lost some time in the second left and it took another two laps to attack. The race was already on the last lap and Sasaki, who knows the track inside out, was able to control his opponent to cross the finish line in first place. Camponeschi however is still as strong as ever on the second day of racing.

Slightly isolated Basz held 3rd place unflinchingly until the end, just like Jordon Lennox-Lamb (CRG / BMB) in 4th place and Finland’s Teemu Petjoi (Tony Kart / Vortex) in fifth position, his best performance of the weekend. Both Champions, Davide Fore (CRG / BMB) and Kozlinski (PCR / TM) once again ran together, managing to pass Christian Sorensen (LH / BMB) at the end of the race to finish sixth and seventh respectively. Although moving up over the laps, Anthoine Hubert (Formula K / TM) attempted, unsuccessfully, to pass for ninth, Takashi Kasai (Tony Kart / Vortex) on the line. The fastest driver on the track, Pedro Hiltbrand (FA Kart / Vortex), had started the second row, but struggled to do better than 11th. It was a wise race but not brilliant for the third French driver, John Filippi (Tony Kart / Vortex) who seemed to suffer from a performance deficit this morning.
