Nicklas Nielsen (Kosmic / Vortex) was the winner of a turbulent pre-final in the KF2 Asia Pacific Championship. A few raindrops unsettled the drivers when they took to the track, but it did not really disrupt the race. The Japanese Nieri Fukuzumi (Kosmic / Vortex) took the lead at the first corner ahead of Kevin Rossel (Birel / BMB) and Nielsen, followed by Federico Panetta (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Sotaro Mimura (ART GP / TM). However the  favorite Paolo Ippolito (Kosmic / Vortex) plunged to the depths of the rankings.

Nielsen then took the lead ahead of Fukuzumi and Panetta. Rossel dropped back. The fastest, Damiano Fioravanti (Tony Kart / Vortex) returned to the front after a difficult start to the race and eventually finished fourth behind the winning combination that would not change: Nieslen, winner, second Fukuzumi and Panetta third. Mimura was 9th, Ippolito 10th and Rossel 13th. The fight was sharp, sometimes to a fault between the two fastest drivers from the beginning to the end of the race and isn’t impossible that they will be seen by the stewards.
