Impressive return for Lorandi in the KF3 final

The rain seems to be keeping away from Val d’Argenton, at least for the KF3 final in the WSK Euro Series. There was already a collision on the formation lap, and Kodric took the the lead ahead Palou, Ferrucci, Russell, Sitnikov, Ilott, and Ticktum. Lorandi gained a lot of positions. Aubry was pushing and shoving went off several times to drop to 26th. Daruvala was only 19th. Russell passed Ferrucci for 3rd but he was still being attacked by Ferrucci and Ilott. He was now threatened by Lorandi.

Kodric and Palou and got away and were quietly optimistic. Ilott was trying to go up the inside of Ferrucci, the drivers touched not seriously, but Lorandi saw the opportunity to take third place, while Ilott lost 3 places, then another big drop to 18th position ahead of Aubry. Lorandi closed more and more on Palou, while Kodric was a strong leader. Lorandi passed Palou without hesitation on lap 11. Will he have enough time to attack Kodric?

Meanwhile, Ferrucci was in fifth behind Russell and would love to overtake. He did it on the 13th lap. Lorandi was right behind Kodric with two laps to go. The Croatian defended by closing the doors. Lorandi passed at the beginning of the last lap and got ahead without Kodric having a chance to retaliate. Lorandi won in front of Kodric and Palou.
