Rongier wins the battle in X30

Sylver Garcia (Intrepid) and Jeoffrey Rouchy did well in a difficult start in the X30 Cup final which saw the elimination of Sébastien Rambaud and Quentin Porte. But the fight was just beginning in a category that is always spectacular. From the third lap Mathias Borges Martins, Jeremy Lopès and Quentin Rongier held the lead in a deadly trio, closely followed by Garcia. Rongier took the lead, then Garcia led and was trying to widen the gap as quickly as possible.

Lopès, Rongier, Garcia, Potain, Rouchy, the combination would not stay the same for long, especially as William Monserrate joined in the fun for a few laps before falling to 12th place. Now Damien Vuillaume entered the competition in sixth place ahead of Borges Martins, Romain Mange, John Barbe and Anthony Cout.

At halfway Rongier slightly detached from the group, but they were catching on the 11th lap. Rongier, Rouchy and Garcia were the top three on lap 12 with Vuillaume trying to join them, followed by Borges Martins. With Lopez, the group of six formed again. Vuillaume took the lead on lap 14, ahead of Rouchy, Garcia, Borges, Lopès and Rongier. There were now 8 in contention for the win or at least the podium. Borges was the new leader ahead of Rouchy and Garcia.

Rouchy and Borges tried to get away on lap 17 to break up the large group, but they were quickly joined: any escape seemed impossible. On the last lap, Rongier was ahead of Rouchy, Borges, Garcia, … It was all to play for in the final metres. Quentin Rongier got away a bit from Mathias Borges Martins, Vuillaume was ousted, Sylver Garcia was 3rd out of the pack, ahead of Rouchy, Potain, Lopès, Lemonnier and Monserrate. The winner, Rongier (Kosmic), second was Borges Martins (Kosmic) and third Garcia (Intrepid).
