Prefinal phases at Varennes

François Bécamel (Kosmic / Parilla) won the semifinal of KF3 after a duel with Arthur Lehouck (Sodi / Parilla), Jeremy Demarque (Sodi / Parilla) took the second spot ahead of the Belgian Benjamin Lessennes (Sodi / Parilla) who made a great recovery. In Semifinal 2, the Finnish driver Alec Weckstrom (Maranello / Vortex) won ahead of Amaury Bonduel (Kosmic / Parilla) and Alexander Guiod (Merlin / Parilla). The first race was littered with incidents. A question that often comes up in the paddock: should a driver who cuts a corner, and not by a little, be able to continue to race without being penalized while influencing the outcome of the race?

It was a clear victory for Charles Leclerc (ART GP / Parilla) in the KF2 Prefinal, but Paul Boutonnet (Tony Kart / Parilla), in second, impressed with his performance. Third was Thibaut Haublin (Kosmic / Vortex), fourth Pedro Hiltbrand (FA Kart / Vortex) and fifth Sébastien Bailly (Swiss Hutless / TM)

Maxim Roy (Tony Kart / TM) won in the semifinals to face KZ2 pole winner Mathieu Gaillard (Energy / Maxter), Cedric Goudant (Tony Kart / TM), Christophe Benoit (Birel / TM) and Julien Poncelet (Formula K / TM) well weighted with a heavy meal.

A sign of vitality of the GPO, it was discovered, was the use of the warning flag for over-optimistic moves.
