Qualifying on the first day at Varennes for the GPO revealed a big surprise with the dominance of the young drivers Arthur Lehouck (Sodi / Parilla), the pole winner by 54.838 and Bryan Elpitiya (Zanardi / Parilla) the leader of group 2 by 92 thousandths, in fourth position. The order was different from the forecasts as second place overall went to the Corsican Lucas Marchi (ART GP / Parilla), followed by Alexandre Gadois (FA Kart / Vortex). François Bécamel (Kosmic / Parilla) took fifth within 1 tenth of the pole in front of the Finn Joonas Lapplainen (Ninar / Vortex), Gabriel Aubry (Birel / TM), Alec Weckstrom (Maranello / Vortex), Maxime Potty and Romain de Leval (Kosmic / Parilla) in 10th place.
Demarque was 11th, Becq 13th, Guldenfels 22nd, Guglielmeli 23rd, Russo 24th, Defourny 27th and Besancenez 28th. 41 drivers took part.
