First Podium for Praga Kart

All the work made by Praga Kart is already beginning to deliver results, as shown by Bas Lammers who climbed onto the third step of the podium in Final 2, at Sarno, on Sunday, during the second round of the WSK Master Series.

We take it one step at a time” team manager Alessandro Manetti pointed out. “Our team is young, our equipment is new, and there are many parameters to manage in order to reach top performances. Our kart has not undergone any substantial developments, for the time being we make a lot of adjustments

But we have done a lot of progress since the Winter Cup!Bas Lammers stressed. “Our knowledge of this kart has greatly improved and I have been constantly able to fight in the top 5 in KZ1, against the best drivers in this category, although this was just our third meeting. It is very encouraging“.

Patrik Hajek also showed some convincing performances, such as his second fastest lap time in timed qualifying. He had to face a series of problems that hampered his performances, but was always very fast. Martin Doubek did a good race in KZ2 by finishing twice in 13th place, despite a withdrawal and a penalty during the heats.

Praga Kart KF2 drivers made their debut in WSK, with the very experienced Libor Toman and the Polish driver Karol Dabski, coming from Rotax. In this case too, there was a significant progression after timed qualifying: Toman drove a nice pre-final and concluded with a 14th place after recovering 15 positions, while Dabski finished just outside of the top 10 in the final.

I am really happy I have joined this new team” Libor Toman explained. “We are starting almost from scratches and there is already some interesting potential emerging. I am very happy with my pre-final, and I am disappointed I had to give up the final. Karol managed to regain 12 places in the final and finished 11th. I am confident for the rest of the season“.
