AVG Keeps the Pace Up at Sarno

Although overall results during the second WSK Master Series weekend at Sarno have been a bit less gratifying than those achieved on previous occasions, performances shown by AVG Racing number one driver have proved that the team has been far from idle and that the PCR/TM is performing well.

After starting off on the right foot in Saturday’s heats with a second place and a victory, Arnaud Kozlinski had to deal with a problem with his steering column, and had to content himself with a 6th place in Final 1. On Sunday, he was constantly in the top 5 and concluded at the foot of the podium in Final 2. What is more, he is still well placed in the race for the title with his 2d place, but his main goal is to keep his kart at the top in order to take his chances.

Simo Puhakka turned the situation to his favour on Saturday after a disappointing 19th place and managed to conclude with a 7th place in Final 1. But on Sunday, he withdrew during the first heat and had to push his kart to the limit in the final to climb up from to 23rd to 14th place. Young Sinan Van de Raad showed a good progression and was several times in the top 15. As for Dylan Davies, he withdrew twice in KZ2 and had a few problems during the meeting that stopped him from achieving a significant result.

The boss, Anton Van Grunsven, commented:
The season is looking good and we have some good development opportunities with PCR. The AVG team is getting ready for the last Master round at Castelletto, and Koko is well positioned in the championship. For me, next important meeting will the debut of the WSK Euro Series, again here in Sarno, in a month’s time, a round which is also very interesting with a view to the World Cup in September“.
