Verstappen solid winner in the KF2 Prefinal

Max Verstappen (Intrepid / TM) didn’t allow himself to be left behind at the lights in the KF2 Prefinal in the WSK Master Series at Sarno and firmly took the lead against Felice Tiene (CRG / BMB), closely followed by Dennis Olsen (Energy / TM). Stefano Cucco (Maranello / BMB) was the fourth in front of Antonio Giovinazzi (Tony Kart / TM) and Charles Leclerc (ART GP / Parilla). Antonio Fuoco, Alessio Guazzaroni, Nicklas Nielsen, Antoine Hubert and Nikolaj Moller-Madsen were held up at the first hairpin.

The top positions hardly changed during the 12 laps of the race, but the gaps got bigger between the front runners. Verstappen was the fastest on the track, Tiene also had good pace, and both drivers were ahead of the  rest. On the eighth lap, Leclerc was damaged in an attack from Giovinazzi and Ippolito (Kosmic / Vortex), then Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex) was stuck in around 10th. Rudakov and Hiltbrand added to the list of dropouts.

Nothing could interfere with the impressive triumphal march of Verstappen who linked fastest laps with the regularity of a metronome. Ippolito got the better of Giovinazzi on the last lap. Verstappen scored an unstoppable victory in front of Tiene and Olsen.
