From 23rd to 25th March the international racing calendar of karting presents one of the most beloved and followed appointments of the international scene: the Andrea Margutti Trophy organized by Parma Karting. The Trophy has reached its 23rd edition and this year the venue of the event is Lonato (Brescia) and its South Garda Kartingcircuit. Three are the international categories involved: KZ2, KF2 and KF3, besides the 60 Mini racing for the Junior Trophy

With still a month to go, there are already many important teams that have announced their participation. In fact, the number of participants is going to be thehighest ever reached, without forgetting the quality of the drivers who will be racing on the track. Among the best teams the presence of official teams such as CRG, BRM Racing, Intrepid, Art Grand Prix, Ward Racing, Chiesa Corse, Spirit, Forsman, New Force, Solgat, Swiss Hutless, Gandolfi, Ricky Flynn, is outstanding.

In KZ2 there will be three of the of the first drivers of the European Champion ranking, with the two CRG drivers Fabian Federer and Mirko Torsellini, and the strong Finnish Henri Kokko on a Ninar chassis.

These drivers will be challenged by the other two CRG drivers  Jordon Lennox-Lamb and Marcel Mueller, besides the BRM drivers Leonardo Fuoco, Humar Zan and Michele Santolini. Also to be followed Jonas Hansen’s performance on Maranello.

In KF2 the favourite is Max Verstappen on Intrepid, who won already in the last Winter Cup at his debut in this category. But also in this category there are several top drivers: Charles Leclerc (Art Grand Prix), KF3 world champion and at his first season in KF2, and the CRG standard-bearers Felice Tiene, Luke Varley and Eddy Tinini. Then, the strong Moretti brothers (Tony Kart) and the two New Force drivers Cristopher Zani and Andrea Russo (Kosmic), besides last year’s winner, the Swiss Alain Valente with Swiss Hutless.

For example the strong George Russell (Intrepid) winner of the Winter Cup and the other protagonists of the first race of the season such as Danilo Albanese (Energy), Luca Corberi (Kosmic) and the English Callum Ilott (Zanardi). Other sure protagonists are the Rumanian Marcu Dionisios (Top kart), last year’s winner of the Margutti Trophy in 60 Mini, the Swiss Gjerj Haxhiu (Swiss Hutless), also coming from Mini, Dorian Boccolacci (Intrepid), Leonardo Tano on CRG, the other couple of CRG the American Santino Ferrucci and the Spanish Alex Palou, and the whole “army” of Art Grand Prix with Laaksonen, Hirsiger, Okada, Peltola and Kalliokoski.

In the 60 Mini there will be several favourite drivers who can aim at conquering the Junior Trophy. Among them Lorenzato and Cicognini (New Force), Corbellini (Top Kart), Recchia (PCR), Zanchi (Top Kart), Galletto and Lavigna (CRG), Compagnoni, Guidetti and Massa (BRM), Benni (Top Kart) and Mazzotti (Parolin).
