The heats for the KZ2 2012 Winter Cup have been completed and Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) is clearly in pole position after his three consecutive victories. Jonathan Thonon (CRG / Maxter) proved to be his most serious opponent, with the power he is used to this weekend. It has been a nice performance from Davide Fore in third place ahead of Ben Hanley (ART GP / TM) convincingly racing his new machine. Yannick De Brabander (Formula K / TM) completed the top five, Mirko Torsellini (CRG / Maxter) was sixth, Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / Maxter) seventh and Kozlinski (PCR / TM) 8th.

Undoubtedly, all the big names are at the meeting. Rick Dreezen (Tony Kart / Vortex) was relegated to 10th position, which is far from his true potential. The situation is most marked for Bas Lammers (Praga / TM), only 13th, closely followed by teammate Patrik Hajek. Fabian Federer (CRG / Maxter) dropped back in his third heat and finished in 20th position, although rather close to the top 5. After qualifying 25th, Alex Baron (Sodi / Maxter) was delayed by an impressive crash in his last race. The last driver qualified directly, Roberto Toninelli (Birel / BMB) is in 28th position.

The repechage is likely to be eventful on Sunday morning with candidates like Spinelli, De Conto, Cozzaglio, Groman, Paul David, Louis Bonsaudo and Christophe Benoit.
