Winter Cups face uneven weather

While competitors in the Rotax Winter Cup at Campillos are practicing, those in the Winter Cup at Lonato are waiting for their favorite track to be clear of snow. Temperatures are cold throughout, typically for winter, but Spain is much more comfortable than Italy. A week later than the Rotax Winter Cup in 2012, Lonato has already suffered from a lack of running as the teams were traditionally used to running on the South Garda track before the race. However, the conditions seem to improve under the Italian sky while remaining cold. It will take the races to warm the atmosphere, or drinking hot chocolate in the cafeteria.
