Competitive heats were ahead in Rotax DD2. As many as 11 drivers were able to take at least one top three in the six qualifying heats. Many competitors have several Rotax World Finals to their credit and have begun to get to know the CRG chassis used in this category. The Italian brand is a regular partner of the Rotax Challenge.

After taking pole position, the Canadian Pier-Luc Ouellette is still in the lead after the heats, but the former winner of the Rotax finals was pressure! Five other drivers also won races: South Africa’s Mark Murray, the Finn Miika Laiho, the Belgian De Ruwe, Nicholas Latifi – another Canadian – and Australia’s Jason Pringle . The final promises to be tense!

Den Ruwe had a crash in a heat and had to recover. 8th twice and 10th once, the French driver Maxime Gravouille was going well and was 11th on the eve of the pre-final. His compatriot Jeremie Charon paid the price of his inexperience I  DD2. For him, the repechage will be difficult!
