The Tec-Sav engines almost couldn’t participate in the Super Nationals at Las Vegas this season. Because of a new regulation from U.S. Customs, the 44 engines prepared by the French magician were stranded at the airport at Los Angeles.
At the last minute on Thursday night, the good news arrived: the engines would be released. Eric Savard jumped to the wheel of a truck to rush to LA and collect the valuable cases, a journey of 1200 km at night. Understandingly, the organizer of the competition has added an additional session for KZ so the Tec-Sav drivers could run in on Friday morning and then make some adjustments before timed practice.
