Consistently fastest in KF2 during free practice, the Finn Teemu Suninen (Intrepid / TM) confirmed it by taking pole during official qualifying and winning in the first qualifying heat in the Supernationals XV in Las Vegas o Friday. Second in qualifying, the Indonesian Armand Philo (Tony Kart / Vortex) unfortunately retired at the start of the race which allowed the Dutch driver Dave Blom (Formula K / TM), sixth in qualifying, to take second position ahead of teammate Yannick De Brabander, Canadian Philip Orcic (Zanardi / Parilla) and Argentina’s Nicolas Manzarana (Kosmic / Vortex).

Winner of the previous year’s race, the European Champion Sami Luka (Energy / TM) was ninth in qualifying and took two places in the first heat by taking advantage of his young teammate Dennis Olsen. A great recovery of 10 places is to the credit of Raquel Martinez, the young Californian at Top Kart / Parilla who fits well in the top 10.
