Stunning victory for Hubert in the dreaded Prefinal 2

In the U18 the drivers take the start of pre-final 2 in the reverse order of the end of the heats. Ricky Collard (Top Kart) was on the front row with Damiano Marchesan (Zanardi), followed by Justas Pangonis (Parolin) and Hannah Pym (Intrepid). A crash in the middle of the pack removed Alarcon, Martin and Zemin. Pym finds herself at the back. Pangonis kept the lead during the first lap, followed by Martin Mortensen (Mach 1) and Marchesan, but the devil Pyry Ovaska (Maranello) was already fourth ahead of Simone Favaro (Parolin) and John Barbe (Tecno).

There was a surprise on the second lap with a fall of nine places for Ovaska, now 13th. Mortensen now led the race ahead of Pangonis who was resilient, them Marchesan and Anthoine Hubert (Sodi) in fourth. Leo Roussel (Sodi) went into eighth position followed by Matthew Graham (Zanardi) and Henry Easthope (Sodi).

On the third lap, Hubert seized second place at the expense of Pangonis, Graham returned to sixth and Ovaska 10th. Dave Blom (Intrepid) was 12th. Hubert led on the following lap and escaped with the fastest lap. Graham took Easthope for sixth position, Ovaska 8th. The rain tires were suffering on a nearly dry track.

Easthope was now 3rd at the start of the final lap, Graham fifth and Ovaska sixth. Victory went to the impeccable Anthoine Hubert, 28th at the start, and there was a fight for second place between Easthope, 29th on the grid, who managed to stay there, with Mortensen third. Graham, who also started on the last tow, and finished 4th with Ovaska fifth, coming from 20th position. Katajamäki was 10th, Blom 12th. Easthope went fastest.
