Hedouin wins the Minime French Cup

Arthur Lehouck retained the leader at the start of the final for the Minime, while Florian Venturi surprised Nathan Hedouin. Tom Leuillet was fourth, but seemed to have trouble keeping up with the top three early in the race. He himself had to be wary of Julien Sanson. Behind Alexandre Retou and Alexandre Vromant passed, and then lost out to Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer and Luca Antonucci. The latter continued the recovery he started in the pre-final.

At the halfway point Lehouck had built a slight lead against the Venturi Hedouin duo who were bumper to bumper. Moreover, Hedouin eventually succeeded in taking second position. For the following places, there was a superb squad of a dozen drivers together, which was beautiful to watch. Sanson’s pressure was high and the Norman lost many places, while Alexandre Schmit increased his effort, Alain Landemaine in his wake.

The final was not over because Hedouin – with the fastest lap in his pocket – joined Lehouck. With two laps to go, he tried his luck down the descent at Essay. Hedouin defended well into the last lap and won the Coupe de France ahead of Lehouck. Florian Venturi finished third in a lonely position, while the chasing pack eventually stretched out. Schmit secured fourth place ahead of Landemaine, Vromant and Leuillet. Adrien Renaudin had made good progress and finished off in eighth position ahead of Simmenauer and Antonucci.
