A timid start for Gabriel Aubry (Birel-TM) in the KF3 final did not prevent him from winning with panache, as he did on Saturday. Esteban Ocon (FA Kart-Vortex) was, however, on his heels, but Aubry successively overtook Jeremy Demarque (Sodi-Parilla) and François Becamel (Kosmic-Parilla) – after a very good start – to return at a breakneck pace to the leader. After watching his opponent, he launched a fierce attack and went ahead. Aubry was running an average of three tenths faster than everyone and successfully leading.
Behind Ocon was overtaken by a close platoon of Becamel, Demarque and Besancenez with Hubert Petit (Sodi-Parilla) nearby. One felt that things could happen, but the pack remained calm. Paolo Besancenez (Sodi-Parilla) was launching hostilities on Demarque with two laps to go. But he was too late for the podium, with Ocon – the 2011 French Champion – and Becamel 2nd and 3rd positions in front of three Sodi-Parillas. A second group finished much later, with Dorian Boccolacci (Birel-TM) from the 7th placed Belgian Haublin Thibaut (Kosmic-Parilla).
