Nicolaj Moller-Madsen (PCR / TM) started from pole in the KF2 Prefinal at the Bridgestone Cup at Lonato with Antonio Giovinazzi (PCR / Parilla) at his side. Moller-Madsen took the lead ahead of Giovinazzi and Snell, then Olsen and Hiltbrand.

Giovinazzi attacked Moller Madsen and took the lead on the second lap, while Olsen took third place at the expense of Snell. Behind these five drivers, it was mixed up with an incredible start to the race from Pavel Rudakov (Tony Kart / BMB) from 18th, now sixth from Kyrill Koroleskiy (Tony Kart / BMB) and Maximilian Van Meever (Tony Kart / Vortex) .

Hiltbrand overtook Vivacqua for fourth position. Giovinazzi took a few steps ahead of Moller-Madsen, Hiltbrand could be threatening to Olsen, and Vivacqua was isolated in fifth position. Hiltbrand was rapidly closing up to Olsen and he stole third.

Moller-Madsen had not given up and was close to the leader, the recovery of perhaps being not unrelated to this. But Giovinazzi upped the pace to protect his dominant position. The race was far from over.

At the beginning of the last lap, Hiltbrand was not far from Moller-Madsen. The Dane defended, but lost his second place in the last corner. Victory went to Giovinazzi from Hiltbrand, Moller-Madsen third and Olsen fourth.
