Academy race under pressure at Lonato

The eight competitors in the category in the Academy Bridgestone Cup were all on identical Parolin / FIM except for the color, went out for their final in the order of finishing the prefinal, Marco Tormen with Armando Iannaccone on the front row then Sergio Lopez and Jonathan Ceccoto on the second row, and Fabio Berto and Filippo Festa on the third, Riccardi Galante and Lorenzo Calvos on the 4th. The drivers are all experienced, but we couldn’t blame them for their sense of the attack, which sometimes led to original moves on the track.

After an excellent start in front of Jonathan Ceccoto Sergio Lopez overtook the drivers on the front row and was in the lead on the second lap, but Marco Tormen was in his wake, followed by Armando Iannaccone. The top three had made a good gap and Filippo Berto was fighting with Ceccoto. The latter then had to contend with the return of Fabio Festa. Iannaccone was pressing Tormen for second place. At halfway, the situation was of two trio fighting. Who knows what will happen …

The leading trio ignited with an attack on Lopez by Tormen who retaliated, and didn’t hesitate to close the door severely. Tormen had a way to go yet. Iannaccone now hit Lopez with a low blow, the least we can say. Iannaccone received a warning … Meanwhile, Tormen flew to victory. Iannaoccone managed to overcome Lopez, but he came back and caught his opponent. Smoking tires, drivers gesticulating, what a sight! Ceccoto finally finished fourth from Festa and Berto.
