Almost 200 drivers at the Bridgestone Cup a Lonato

Fabian Federer, the new European and Italian champion in KZ2 at the drivers’ presentation at Lonato.

 

The “Bridgestone Cup Final” this weekend at the South Garda Karting circuit in Lonato will close a busy period for the Italian track that has had a large number of events in 2011. This year, the “Bridgestone Cup Final” has an exceptional attendance from the international drivers in the three categories of KF3, KF2 and KZ2, which, on this occasion, has been combined with “FIM U18 Open” and “Academy” in the Championkart Trophy.

In the most spectacular category, KZ2, there is an entry from European KZ2 Champion and winner of the Italian title, Fabian Federer, as well as Andrea Dale, winner of the second round of the Autumn Trophy. But there will also be many other contenders in this category, including the Swiss driver Marcel Muller, the Autumn Trophy winner, the Czech Adam Janous, Dutch Jorrit Pex, Simone Brenna, the KZ1 European Champion Paolo De Conto, the WSK Master champion Marco Zanchetta, Yuri Lucati and others.

There are also many prestigious participants in KF2, with the WSK Master champion Antonio Giovinazzi joining Sean GP, ??alongside Nikolaj Moller Madsen, the recent winner of the International Super Rok Cup, Cristopher Zani, Gianmarco Ercoli and his rival, the rapid Polish driver Malgorzata Rdest, the Norwegian Dennis Olsen and Eddy Tinini.

In KF3, the young Canadian prodigy Lance Stroll will face as the national champion and the second in World Junior Rok, Luca Corberi, Antonio D’Angelo, Andrea Russo, the Dane Slavco Ivanovic, who won the Andrea Margutti Trophy, and many other young hopefuls.

The program has free practice on Friday, Oct. 21, Saturday, October 22 will be devoted to qualifying at 9:20 ET with qualifying heats from 11:05. On Sunday, October 23 the pre-finals will begin at 10:50 and the finals at 13:30.
