Jean-Eric Vergne, who drove under the colors of Sodi, coming off his first sensations at the steering-wheel of a Formula 1 during a weekend of racing at Yeongam, South Korea.
Thirteenth time of the first practice in rainy conditions, Jean-Eric was satisfied with his first trial run with the Toro Rosso 2011. Even if he made only nine laps:
“It was the first time I took the steering-wheel of the car today, during the first free practice session. The last time I drove a Toro Rosso, it was last year during private testing for young drivers in Abu Dhabi. I must admit that I was not so happy this morning when I opened the curtains and saw the rain. I found the morning session was quite difficult due to climatic conditions, even though I’m glad I did because I have not crashed the car and I also have enjoyed […] no matter about the track conditions, I am happy to have this opportunity, although I have not traveled a lot of laps. That means I’ll be better prepared when I get back on track in Abu Dhabi. “
JJEV renew this experience at the upcoming Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi and Brazil and hopes to be in the cockpit of one of the two cars next season … and we too! GO JEV !
