Countdown for Kerpen !

The track is ready… we are ready…

The countdown for the 2nd edition of the Ciao Thomas Knopper Memorial Race coming October 1 & 2 in Kerpen has begun. Not only do we have a fantastic line-up of participants such as Bas Lammers, Marvin Meindorfer, Paolo de Conto, Joey Hanssen and Kevin Leijtens, but to everyone’s surprise Nyck de Vries will be driving in the Mini class!

We have come up with a terrific programme this year. On Saturday during the breaks there will be demo’s of Super Karts (sponsored by MS kart) and various different race cars. In the evening there is a BBQ and a party in the large TK Racing tent courtesy of the KTG Racing team where everyone can relax and discuss Sunday’s strategy and/or this past season!

On Sunday a side from the Super Kart and race car demos there will also be: A Formula Renault 2.0 demo sponsored by MP Motorsport and Renault Sports.  After the break all the drivers will give a unique presentation. And then the spectacle will literally take off: Parachutists will land on the circuit to drop off the chequered flag, a show band and of course our very own Grid Girls (sisters and friends of Thomas) will escort the drivers.

The final of the KZ will come to an “explosive” end with a spectacular fireworks Show. Another one of Thomas’s passions!

Only the weather gods can put a damper on the excitement !  And … that is not all: there will be a Mystery Guest present all day. Already several karting sites are wildly speculating about this person’s identity (is it an F-1 driver?) 

In short there will be Fireworks in Kerpen – in more ways than one!!! We hope to see you all in Kerpen…
