Held in Belgium on the Genk track, the CIK-FIA World Cup for KZ1 was the stage of quite an eventful final. And indeed the list of possible candidates for victory was perhaps bigger than it had been over the last ten years.

Already three-time winner of the event (2007, 2008 and 2009), Belgium’s Jonathan Thonon has prevailed once again… thanks to an overtaking manoeuvre as masterly as audacious in the very last lap – and even in the penultimate corner! – against his compatriot Yannick de Brabander.

See Jonathan Thonon’s whole final on www.cikfia.tv and appreciate his correctness in the hustle of the first laps, the precision of his driving, the hundredths picked up lap after lap in the final stages of the race to catch up with de Brabander and, finally, his decisive overtaking.
