Race 2: De Vries attacks Camponeschi

Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex) got away first, followed by Alexander Albon (Intrepid / TM) and Sébastien Bailly (Kosmic / Vortex), while Kanamaru visited the flower beds. Jordon Lennox-Lamb (CRG / Maxter) came back and attacked Albon, he was now second. The De Vries (Zanardi / Parilla) machine does not take long to get into the action: in third, he passed Lennox at turn 3. Meanwhile, Camponeschi had time to build a gap of about 2” from his pursuers who were fighting.

Felice Tiene (CRG / Maxter) held fifth place after Leo Roussel (Sodi / Parilla) fell to ninth place, but Loïc Réguillon (Sodi / Parilla) was still 6th. Lennox took fourth position from Albon, Roussel overtook Bailly, 7th.

At the halfway point, Camponeschi’s pace hadnt declined, but De Vries accelerated from lap 10 and the lead of the Tony Kart driver began to reduce, one or two tenths a lap. This may not be enough for a Dutch victory. Tiene passed Albon on lap 13 and earned fourth position behind his teammate Lennox. Camponeschi gave the maximum, there were 3 laps to go and he was 5 small tenths ahead. De Vries began the final lap on the bumper of Camponeschi. He went abnormally slowly out of the right before the back straight. Nyck with the momentum hit Flavio who spun head-to-tail … De Vries won the race ahead of Lennox-Lamb, Tiene, Albon and Réguillon and if things remain this way.
