Sathienthirakul is KF2 European Champion

Tanart Sathienthirakul (Tony Kart / TM) had a favourable prognosis after his victory in the Prefinal. It was a perfect start, while Antonio Giovinazzi (PCR / TM) had problems and went backwards. Carlos Gil (Tony Kart / Vortex) was in second place ahead of Sami Luka (Energy / TM), who was soon to be overtaken by Victor Sendin (Tony Kart / Vortex). A group of seven drivers were still close at the front of the race. Gil closed on Sathienthirakul who had not managed to escape, Luka attacked Sendin. Sam MacLeod (FA Kart / Vortex) was fifth from Gerard Barrabeig (Birel / BMB) and Egor Orudshev (Tony Kart / Vortex). The top 4 were neck and neck.

Gil took the lead and Luka passed Sendin. Barrabeig hurried to join them. Sathienthirakul was back on top and had a small gap, Luka was now up to Gil and attacked, but the Spaniard replied while Sendin watcheed the duel before attacking Gil, but was caught by Barrabeig and MacLeod.

Sathienthirakul continued to lead. Luka closed however, gradually with eight laps still to be covered. MacLeod took 3rd, but Gil and Hansen, who started 31st, were followed by Sendin. Luka was close to the leader and less than a second away, but there were only two laps before the end and it was difficult for the Belgian. Gil was a solid third from Hansen. 5th was MacLeod from Giovinazzi, Barrabeig, Orudshev and Sendin. Luka tried a little attack on the last lap, but Tanart Sathienthirakul won the race and the title.
