Torsellini at the Top of KZ2

Winner of the WSK Euro Series opening meeting at Sarno, Mirko Torsellini outclassed his opponents during Final 1 on the La Conca circuit, at the third meeting in 2011. “I recently concluded the European Championship in Germany with a third place, and I am very happy I have won again“, the Italian driver from CRG-Maxter commented. “But I am disappointed I had to retire on Sunday, after starting again first, because the point system in Final 2 is more favourable. Now my title chances are thin, but I will do the maximum in Spain, during the final meeting“.

Jonathan Thonon is in the same situation in KZ1. The Belgian driver knows he lost some precious points in Southern Italy, but he was always competitive at Zuera and will try to conquer another victory to finish in beauty. In this WSK Euro Series round, CRG Team did not achieve the expected success in KF1, while Max Verstappen had to withdraw during qualifying due to severe back pain, while his third time in timed qualifying had boded well for a good race in KF3.
