In order to heighten the Drivers’ awareness of anti-doping, the FIA has decided to distribute to each Driver and co-Driver participating in an FIA event (Cup, Championship or Trophy, in all disciplines), an envelope containing a letter reminding them of the main points they MUST know about anti-doping (see attached) and the 2011 so-called “Prohibited List” (which includes all the substances and methods prohibited in competitive sport), in a format allowing the competitors to keep it in their wallet and therefore show it to their doctor or pharmacist whenever they need to take a medicine or any nutritional supplement.

This project got underway at the end of May, with the F1 GP of Monaco, the Monaco GP2 event and the FIA drag racing event at Santa Pod, and will continue until the end of the year , including in the CIK-FIA Karting Championship, Cup and Trophy events.

Another FIA doping prevention project – a long-term one – will be launched in July 2011. This will be an anti-doping e-learning course and quiz for the attention of the Drivers and co-Drivers and of anybody else who is keen to know more about anti-doping in competitive sport.

It will be available in five languages (and more in future) on the FIA website and on the website of all the ASNs that will be willing to participate in this project.
