KZ heat 1: Lammers and Iglesias

While the first heat got ready in KZ, one wondered about the role of the weather in the hierarchy of these powerful machines. It was an impeccable start for the Intrepid / TMs of Bas Lammers and Jérémy Iglesias, followed by Antonio Piccioni (Parolin / TM) and Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) who beat Beitske Visser (Intrepid / TM). Armand Convers (Kosmic / Vortex) also passed the Praga kart on the first lap. Ardigo lay beyond that. Roberto Toninelli was close in sixth, ahead of Visser and Gary Catt (Tony Kart / Vortex).

Visser attacked Toninelli and set the fastest time while passing. Lammers had built a good lead, Piccioni returned to Iglesias, Visser was fifth, and came close to Rick Dreezen and Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) with the 8th now Patrik Hajek (Tony Kart / Vortex).

Ardigo took Piccioni, followed by Visser and later Hajek. Ardigo stayed very close to Visser until the last lap, but the positions do not change. Lammers victory to Iglesias, Ardigo third, fourth Visser, Hajek fifth.
