In the first heat the front row was Tony Kart / Vortex with Rick Dreezen and Marco Ardigo, and the second row Intrepid / TM with Jérémy Iglesias and Beitske Visser, followed by Bas Lammers, and the KZ heat began. Dreezen started perfectly, but Iglesias and Visser were ahead of Ardigo. However, he took third and Lammers took 4th on the second lap. Ardigo was even second on the third lap.

Davide Fore (CRG / Maxter) was eighth, Jonathan Thonon (CRG / Maxter) 11th from Gianni Gazzurelli (FA Kart / Vortex). Kozlinski and Carlton didn’t come round. Joel Johansson (Energy / TM) made a small detour into the grass.

Dreezen quickly took a big lead over Ardigo and Visser, and fifth was now closely followed by Gary Catt (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Antonio Piccioni (Parolin / TM). He passed Catt who found himself in a fight with Roberto Toninelli (Lenzo / TM) for seventh place.

On the last lap, Piccioni started to push Visser, but the Dutch driver retained her fifth position. It was a clear victory in front of Rick Dreezen for Marco Ardigo, Jérémy Iglesias in third from Bas Lammers. Thonon finished 12th.
