At the GPO at Ostricourt, racing begins on Saturday with the prefinal for KZ2. Thomas Mich (Birel / TM) and Morgan Weber (Merlin / TM) were first off the line. Weber was faster but Mich finished the first lap in the lead, while Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / Maxter) was already back to third position ahead of Charles Fiault (Sodi / Maxter) and Yuri Lucati (BRM / TM). Both Sodis gained a place, but Mich had already escaped and set the fastest lap on the 4th lap. Weber stopped in the second sector, with he had a problem with his chain, when was in fourth place, and Mathieu Gaillard (Energy / TM) gave up shortly after.

Abbasse couldn’t return to the leader who increased the gap and he even had to defend from Fiault, who was very close to his bumper. In 5th, Emilien Grosso (Intrepid / TM) headed a chasing pack consisting of Paul David (Tony Kart / TM), Vincent Fraïsse (Intrepid / TM) and Charles Martin (CRG / TM). Fiault moved into second position at turn 7. Grosso attacked Lucati for 4th place, Benjamin Da Silva (Birel / TM) took seventh, David was demoted to 13th place. Mich managed his lead ahead of Abbasse and Fiault who were isolated. Logically Mich won the race. Grosso finished 4th, 5th was Da Silva, Martin 6th, 7th Lucati and Pierre Ragues (Sodi / Maxter) 8th after a rise of 8 places.
