Benjamin and Clement Da Silva (Birel / TM) opened the score in KZ2 qualifying on Saturday morning at Ostricourt under cloudy but nonetheless sunny skies, one of the paradoxes of the North. Thomas Mich (Birel / TM) was the first to go under 53” on his 6th lap, followed by 2 / 10 by Morgan Weber (Merlin / TM) and Charles Martin (CRG / TM). Charles Fiault (Sodi / Maxter) set the fifth fastest lap, Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / Maxter) advanced to sixth behind the Italian Yuri Lucati (BRM / TM) who had also been to Varennes for the first GPO. The situation would not change until the end of the 10 minutes session. Thomas Mich returned to pole with 52”840.
