It was a calmer start than in pre-final for the final in KZ2 led by Thomas Mich (Birel / TM) before Julien Goupy (BRM / TM), Morgan Weber (Merlin / TM). Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / Maxter) rose through the rankings after his retirement in the prefinal and that of Tony Lavanant (PCR / TM), who had lost ground early in the race. Mathieu Gaillard (Energy / TM) tried to take 3rd place from Goupy. Meanwhile, Weber was on Mich’s heels, the leader. The fight was intense though, and he did not make much change for now, as we approached the halfway point.
Abbasse returned to the top 10 by passing Charly Bizalion and Cedric Goudant. One wondered if Weber was preparing his attack for the end of the race, as he was the fastest. Abbasse was seventh at his peak, but Emilien Grosso (Intrepid / TM) was too far ahead of him to expect an improvement in his score.
Thomas Mich took a logical victory from Morgan Weber, 4.5” in front of Goupy, Gaillard and Fiault.
