The 125cc gearbox categories have seen their CIK-FIA-sanctioned competitions adopt a new format: the European Championship will henceforth be focused on one single event, and for the first time in its history KZ2 will have its own World Cup, scheduled for 4 September in Belgium, in parallel to the World Cup for KZ1.For the time being, KZ kart enthusiasts need to think about preparing the European Championship, which will be held from 9 to 12 June on the ProKart Raceland circuit of Wackersdorf, in Germany.

And those who have still not entered must submit their entry application before Tuesday 10 May at midnight by means of the on-line forms on the website of the CIK-FIA (www.cikfia.com).As a reminder, and like in every CIK-FIA Championship where the tyre equipment is single, all the Drivers will benefit from the allocation of racing tyres free of charge supplied by Dunlop (“medium” compound in KZ2, “soft” one in KZ1).The first of the five World KF1 Championship events will also be held within the framework of these European KZ1 & KZ2 Championships. Wackersdorf has inherited the privilege of inaugurating the new formula of the World KF1 Championship further to the postponing of the Japanese round of Suzuka, from 22nd May to 13 November.
