Lammers always chasing victory

Final 2 in KZ at Portimao promised to be particularly intense with the front row occupied by Roberto Toninelli (Lenzo / TM) and Bas Lammers (Intrepid / TM), followed by Paolo De Conto (Energy / TM) and Jonathan Thonon (CRG / Maxter). The list of possible winners continued onto multiple lines.

Lammers led from Toninelli, Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) started particularly well in third under threat from Kozlinski (CRG / Maxter) and Thonon. Koko also soon passed Ardigo. Beitske Visser (Intrepid / TM) set the fastest lap on lap 4. Kozlinski attacked Toninelli for 2nd place while his teammate Thonon followed. Yannick De Brabander (Parolin / TM) took fifth ahead of Ardigo and De Conto. Kozlinski gradually approached the leader. Jérémy Iglesias (Intrepid / TM) attacked De Conto for 7th. Rick Dreezen (Tony Kart / Vortex) was ahead of Visser 11th and 14th. While the gap seemed to stabilize between the two leaders, De Brabander passed Thonon to gain third.

It was a clear victory for Bas Lammers ahead of Kozlinski and Yannick De Brabander. Ardigo took 4th position after the retirement of Thonon on the last lap. Iglesias finished 5th.
