Zdenek Groman (Kosmic / Vortex) was in first place ahead of Nyck De Vries (Zanardi / Parilla) for a few hundred meters in the middle of the first lap of KF1 final 1 at the Portimao circuit in the WSK Euro Series. Apart from that, Nyck dominated the entire race without any other division, quietly crossing the finish line after 14 laps with a 2.4” lad ahead of Ignazio D’Agosto (Tony Kart / Vortex). If there was a fight, it was in the pack.
First, a crash on the straight eliminated Dale, Deguffroy, Tiene, Chamberlain and Hubert. Groman then had to yield to Chris Lock and D’Agosto (Tony Kart / Vortex). Alexander Albon (Intrepid / TM) ran a good race from 11th place to fifth, while Sébastien Bailly (Kosmic / Vortex) was up to 6th place. Alex Baron (Sodi / Parilla), the top French driver, finished 13th after a fight was against Mikko Pakari (Maranello / Maranello) 10th and Mark Litchfield (FA Kart / Maxter) 11th.
