Tension mounted for final 1 for KZ1 and KZ2 as it took 3 practice laps and two false starts before the race started. Beitske Visser (Intrepid / TM) stalled in 12th on the grid started last. Rick Dreezen (Tony Kart / Vortex) was flying in the lead followed by Jérémy Iglesias (Intrepid / TM), coming from the 3rd row, while Arnaud Kozlinski (CRG / Maxter) was busy controlling his opponents on the outside line, which was less favorable.

Dreezen, Kozlinski, Iglesias, Convers were the dominating quartet of the early race, followed at a distance by Yannick De Brabander (Parolin / TM), Jonathan Thonon (CRG / Maxter) and Davide Fore (CRG / Maxter). Further back, Bas Lammers (Intrepid / TM) began to accelerate which was disturbing to others, starting from 9th.

Marco Ardigo retired early after an engine problem, Kozlinski closed on Dreezen. Making progress this weekend, Gary Carlton (Zanardi / Parilla) was violently fast. De Brabander lost out to Thonon and Convers and Thonon continued his ascent. Koko took Dreezen when Thonon joined the fight to win. After a delightful battle, Thonon decisively took the lead ahead of Iglesias. Lammers had not had his last word and just stole 3rd place on the line from Kozlinski. Thonon won ahead of Iglesias and Lammers.
