This Sunday at GPO Varennes really began with the KF3 prefinal. Fran Rueda (FA Kart / Vortex) drove lap one in the lead, closely followed by pole sitter Valentin Moineault (Sodi / Parilla) who soon took the lead. Simon Tirman (Tony Kart / Vortex) was 3rd, 4th was Alex Palou then Charles Leclerc (Sodi / Parilla) in 5th. For now Esteban Ocon (FA Kart / Vortex) was 9th, Dorian Boccolacci (Birel / BMB) 11th, while Paolo Besancenez (Sodi / Parilla) had lost time at the start and ended up 28th.

Tirman seized control before being retaken by Rueda and Moineault within a tight group of 6 drivers where the recovering Ocon was 4th. Moineault took the lead after mid-race, Ocon was 3rd, Tirman 4th, Palou 5th and Leclerc 6th. There was a duel for the lead between Moineault and Rueda, and fighting for 3rd place between Palou, Tirman and Ocon. Besancenez set the fastest time, but he was far away, in 17th position. There was a crash on the final lap between Ocon and Tirman and they stayed by the side of the track.

Valentin Moineault took a meritorious victory against Fran Rueda, Palou 3rd, Leclerc 4th, Ocon 5th and Naud 6th.
