Lammers and Ardigo reposition themselves

The track was wet, but there was little rain for the 2nd KZ heat in the WSK Euro Series, on Sunday at Sarno. Bas Lammers (Intrepid / TM) involuntarily assisted Jonathan Thonon (CRG / Maxter) in front of Jeremy Iglesias (Intrepid / TM), Yannick De Brabander (Parolin / TM) and Joel Johansson (Energy / TM). Patrik Hajek (Tony Kart / Vortex) fought with De Brabander for 4th while Thonon yielded to an attack by Lammers. Ryan Van De Burgt (Maddox / Parilla) ran 7th, with threats from Armand Convers (Kosmic / Vortex).

Lammers escaped, Iglesias was a little closer to Thonon and De Brabander, and Hajek joined by Convers.

It was a beautiful victory for Bas Lammers ahead of Jonathan Thonon and Jérémy Iglesias with Hajek 4th, Convers 5th, De Brabander 6th.

Two multiple world champions started on the front row of the last heat for KZ, that of group B, with Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Davide Fore (CRG / Maxter). Ardigo took the lead from Fore. But Rick Dreezen (Tony Kart / Vortex) took 2nd place soon ahead of Joey Hanssen, Fore and Douglas Lundgren.

Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / Parilla) was strong, 9th on the first lap, 6th on second, fourth on the next. Both Tony Kart leaders got away from the pack. The battle raged between Abbasse and Lundgren for third position, Mirko Torsellini (CRG / Maxter) was back in 6th place behind Fore. It was a flawless victory for Marco Ardigo from Rick Dreezen and Anthony Abbasse.
