Rain remained on the agenda for the Sarno region this Sunday, March 13, but the clouds were still too high, well above Vesuvius, to worry the KF1 drivers, ready to go out in heat 1. The speed radar was correct, the race could go, in the finishing order of Saturday’s final.

Nyck De Vries (Zanardi / Parilla) got away from the 1st lap, Karol Basz (RK / BMB) was rapidly emerging from the battle in the pack between Alexander Albon (Intrepid / TM), Sébastien Bailly (Kosmic / Vortex) and Ignazio D’Agosto (Tony Kart / Vortex) for 3rd place. Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex) was back strongly from the back of the grid. Leo Roussel (Sodi / Parilla) had lost a lot of time at the start and was 18th. There was a great duel between Camponeschi and Libor Toman (Birel / BMB) for 5th position.

De Vries kept Basz behind by over a second and won heat 1. But the last lap was full of action: Albon took third ahead of Camponeschi while Bailly, pushed, moved from third to eighth. Mark Litchfield (FA Kart / Maxter) took 5th in front of D’Agosto.
