The KF2 final was wet and with still a few scattered raindrops. They set off for 15 laps of the long circuit at Sarno. Sami Luka (Energy / TM) intersected nicely at the first corner and headed out in front of Stefano Cucco (Birel / Parilla), followed by Victor Sendin (Tony Kart / Vortex). The three men were already settled in the lead. Antonio Giovinazzi (PCR / TM) led the pack with Nicolas Beer and Sam MacLeod. Gerard Barrabeig (Birel / BMB) was interposed in 6th position.

Luka escaped quickly, but Cucco reacted, and Sendin couldn’t get any further. Nicolaj Moller Madsen entered the top 10. After a difficult first lap, Rudakov was only 20th, Guibbert 25th. Cucco closed on Luka while Giovinazzi came back to Sendin gradually. Cucco used different lines from those of Luka, wider, which pays off in some corners and was disadvantageous in other sectors.

Sendin regained some margin, Beer attacked Giovinazzi, but Barrabeig seized 5th. Beer was now in fourth ahead of Giovinazzi and Barrabeig. In short, there was fighting for 4th and it was not yet finished. 10th lap: Cucco took the lead. Now holding 4th, Giovinazzi was again on the heels of Sendin. The French driver was resourceful and the prospect of a podium motivated him.
