Only Kozlinski (CRG / Maxter) was able to challenge the supremacy of Jonathan Thonon (CRG / Maxter) during final 1 for KZ at Sarno. The French driver struggled to not fall behind the Belgian, despite the advantage of a Tec-Sav engine. Yet the domination by Thonon seemed inevitable. He had already carved a significant gap in mid-race when Koko was forced to retire with a technical problem. Rick Dreezen (Tony Kart / Vortex) then recovered second and seemed more within reach.

Behind the leading pack the race was more animated. Yannick De Brabander (Parolin / TM) was in the fourth ahead of Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex), Bas Lammers (Intrepid / TM), Davide Fore (CRG / Maxter), Armand Convers (Kosmic / Vortex), Jérémy Iglesias (Intrepid / TM) and Jorrit Pex (CRG / Maxter) for a long period.

Ardigo grabbed 3rd place in mid-race. Patrik Hajek (Tony Kart / Vortex) made his appearance in a head in brawl with Pex. Lammers and De Brabander passed Ardigo, but was losing ground at the bottom of the circuit for reasons still uncertain …

The race was won by Jonathan Thonon unsurprisingly from Rick Dreezen, Yannick De Brabander, Marco Ardigo and Jérémy Iglesias. A severe crash shortly after the start eliminated Beitske Visser, Jan Midrla and Roberto Toninelli.
