Oh the beautiful rain, steady, penetrating, cold, that waters the olive trees but also the La Conca track! It’s a hard job kart drivers in these conditions, but if there is a place where the temperature has risen, it is undoubtedly in the helmets of competitors.

In any case, the KZ competition is now on its second round of qualifying and it’s slippery. Drivers start in the finishing order of the previous race, which will be beneficial to Gary Catt (Tony Kart / Vortex), Tony Lavanant (PCR / TM) or Beitske Visser (Intrepid / TM). Paolo De Conto (Energy / TM) was finally confirmed in 3rd position for heat 1.

In the panic of the first false start, Visser stopped but managed to get back to resume her place on the grid with great effort. With the lights out, Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) took off impeccably, but was overtaken by Rick Dreezen (Tony Kart / Vortex) and De Conto at the first hairpin. The Energy driver ran the 1st lap in the lead, but his supremacy was quickly challenged by the Tony Boys. Visser took 5th position ahead of Lavanant, Lundberg and Bressan.

Ardigo was fighting in 8th, while Dreezen led from De Conto, Wernersson and Visser, now followed closely by Lundberg. Lavanant dropped to 12th position. At halfway Ardigo returned to the wake of Visser, in 5th. The situation hardly changed in the last few laps and it was Rick Dreezen who won the race ahead of Paolo De Conto, Jesper Wernersson, the first KZ2, Douglas Lundberg, Marco Ardigo and Beitske Visser. Again domineering, Tony Kart had 4 machines in the top 5.
