Winter Cup: Verstappen Sets His Course

At the start of 2011 season, it has become immediately clear that Max Verstappen has great ambitions in KF3. Second in timed qualifying, he then concluded a perfect series of 5 victories in the heats. While the best teams were having a hard time on an increasingly slippery track, Max kept his momentum and concluded his race in the rain with a second final place that says a lot about the potential of his CRG/Maxter.

 

KZ2 engine prepared in-factory by reaching the top 3 of the provisional standings with a heat victory in his pocket, while Jonathan Thonon was back for the final phases. The decision to start the pre-final with rain tyres proved wrong because the track dried too fast with the passing of laps. But Thonon was good at making the most of the race and climbed as high as 4th place.

 

If there was a hint of disappointment in the CRG team, it was because the equipment had worked just fine but there was no victory to reward the hard work of the team due to the highly changeable weather. But the match is only postponed.drivers had a difficult time, but it must be said that the unstable weather conditions they found on Sunday afternoon transformed the event in a sort of poker game whose outcome was difficult to predict.
