In few days, in the Exhibition Centre of Montichiari, “KART and RACE” – the important kart fair – will open its door. Lots of amenities and qualified exhibitors of the world of karting will be ready and set for all the fans and experts. Among the most remarkable novelties of this year’s edition – which opens on Friday 14th January 2011 – there will be a track for practicing and testing set on an open space right in front of the fair pavilions.

Lots of firms and kart constructors have confirmed their presence: the fair is definitely going to be a rich one, with an ample exhibition of the new production of chassis, engines and accessories.
However, the fair will be useful for another reason too; in fact, on this occasion, the details of the next racing season will be unveiled thanks to the presence of the CSAI (the Italian Car Racing Committee of the Italian Automobile Club) and of the AciSport at “KART and RACE” with their own motorhomes to give information about the next Italian Championships and all the national activities for the season which is due to start in few weeks. In another important display area, WSK Promotion will be giving information about its own International Championships in 2011.

Among the representatives of the specialized media, this year there will be a stand for the magazine Vroom, besides the other kart sector magazine TKart, the broadcasting and web company Stop and Go, the websites Italiankart and Kart Classic.

An important area of the fair will be dedicated to the history of karts, with the exhibition of private collections of historical karts such as a six-wheel Tony Kart, the “torpedo” kart with which Livio Bolis recorded an astonishing 214,286 km/h top speed on the circuit of Monza in 1965, besides many other historical pieces such as Dap, the bicylindrical Morbidelli, the engines Balen, Kalì-Swm, Birel-Rotax, Tony-Mac Minarelli, Tony-Aspes, Kalì-Villa and Gabriele Tarquini’s Kalì-Pcr.

The entrance to the fair is free. The registration can be made on the website http://service.centrofiera.it/tickets.

The opening time of the “Kart and Race Fair” is from 10am to 06pm on the first day (Friday 14th January 2011); from 09am to 07pm on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th January.
