Under the sun which had finally returned, the pole sitter in KF2, Sami Luka (Energy / TM) didn’t miss his chance in the 25 lap final. Leading after thestart, he began to stretch a big lead while his classmates were fighting behind him. First Joel Johansson (Energy / TM) was in second place, battling with Gustavo Menezes (Tony Kart / Vortex). Meanwhile, Philipp Orcic (Zanardi / Parilla) came back hard on Jake Lloyd (Energy / TM) in 5th, then Nicolaj Moller-Madsen (Energy / TM) 4th. On lap 6 Orcic took Menezes and went to third and then second on the next lap after passing Johansson.

Behind in 4th, Menezes held off the Intrepid / TM of Mason Marotta the Californian was fastest before Johansson retook him. Wound up like an airplane, Andrick Zeen (Sodi / Parilla) took 8th place behind Lloyd. Orcic closed on Luka enough to put an attack on lap 13. Luka didn’t let go and took the opportunity to watch the lines of his opponent to take him three laps later. We saw a consolidation of the top 3, Luka, Moller-Madsen and Orcic, while Johansson and Menezes were back by some length. Menezes soon had to give up his 5th place to Lloyd. Zeen foughts with tire pressures that got too high to resist the German Jacub Smiechovski (Maddox / Maxter) and Nick Johnson (Maddox / Parilla).

The gaps widened slightly at the end of the race between the leading men, enough to maintain the hierarchy and give a beautiful victory Sami Luka and Energy. Philipp Orcic finished 2nd, Nicolaj Moller-Madsen, the 2009 winner in the 3rd position. Johansson was 4th, Lloyd 5th to participate the Energy triumph: 4 karts in the top 5! Menezes was 6th, 7th Marotta.
