The weather was still hesitating between dry and rain drops did not cause much disruption for the moment. The race between Tiihonen and Hubert was under high pressure, given the stakes, the Academy Trophy. Anthoine Hubert managed to cross the first hurdle, that of not losing his starting spot. He fitted in well behind behind Niklas Tiihonen. Oystein Helgheim, the Norwegian, was in 3rd ahead of Charles Leclerc. The fastest lap went to the French driver. Tiihonen could not get away for now. In 4th, Charles Leclerc could have a say in the battle. Vsevolod Gagen was just ahead of the fifth Filippos Kalesis, Severin Amweg and Gabriela Jilkova.

Leclerc threatened Helgheim, slightly slower for two laps. The leader was 5 / 10 ahead of Hubert and Helgheim appeared to getting closer to the French driver and passed on lap 10. Leclerc tried to pass Hubert. The situation was not at all favorable to Hubert, now fourth after being passed by Kalesis.

Two laps from the end, Tiihonen was a strong leader, while Helgheim and Kalesis were very close and 15s ahead of Hubert. The Finn Niklas Tiihonen won, at the same time, the Academy Trophy 2010, for the first time.
